I am here again with mixed media canvas. And yes again with our younger dog. You know dogs are really great object for photographing, they are cute and funny and so friendly. I have tons of dogs photos in my iPhone, we have 2 sharpeis. And this is Dobby almost 2 years old boy.
Canvas is 25x25cm, I glued over whole canvas scrapbook paper and covered it with clear gesso, to prepare paper for mediums. Than I applied paper texture paste over stencil. I stamped with white ink branches, and I made splatters. I took all chipboards and applied acrylic spray – turquoise and silver. And I adhered everything together. Just some steps and canvas is ready. Mixed media do not have to be complicated all the time. With nice material you can make simple but interesting project.
other: canvas, 3D matte medium, 7 dots studio paper, clear gesso, pape texture paste, Colourcraft Brusho acrylic mettalic spray, Hero arts white ink
welcome on my blog. For blog hop Colourcraft – Stencil Girl I prepared mixed media canvas with minimum of material because you can always embellish your project with using stencils. Below you can find some of my tips.

TODAY BLOG HOP BLOGS:
MY TIPS FOR YOU
1. applying colours through stencil – take sponge or Distress ink applicator and any ink and apply it through stencil – I made this way dark green leaves and black leaves and yellow flowers
2. use the technique above but apply it on to paper (you can use patterned paper too) and cut it, and you have your own embellishment
3. when you apply black ink through stencil it will look like stamping – so for my canvas I did not use ANY stamp, just black ink through stencil
Story behind canvas
There is old ruin of mill which stands behind village where live my parents-in-law. It used to be amazing place with really awesome stone walls, with wooden machines for everything. But nobody cares about it. So now it is almost whole down. Almost nothing left from old ages. When I asked my father-in-law about it he told me that there are some owners but they do not live close and they do not care. I think now it is impossible to save it and bring to life. This canvas will be one of the latest memory before whole building will be damaged by time.
for background I used Brusho: Leaf green, Dark Brown, Orange, Olive green
Memento Luxe inks: Olive grove, Tuxedo black, Dandelion
Finnabair mediums: Heavy gesso
Stencil girl stencils: S456, M167, L506
papers: 7 dots studio – collection Hazy days
Have a nice day
this card was made with amazing Prima papers – Salvage district. I used papers and ephemera and Finnabairs media, Prima stamps and Lindys stamp gang and Prima bloom sprays.
Hi, here is my new layout with 7 dost studio paper from Fortune teller collection. I played with medias and sprays from Lindys stamp gang. In layout creating I am still experimenting but it is great fun.
I had this image long time in my desk, it was waiting for the right moment. And 2 days ago I took it and created this card. As background I used 7 dost studio papers, die cuts are from Memory box dies and Prima marketing dies. I used also Finnabair Structure paste, Heavy Gesso, 3D matte gel and three paints from ArtAlchemy (metallique gold rush, metallique brass hardware and metallique silver spoon) I mixed them with structure paste and I painted with them and also made some splashes. I used sprays from Lindys stamp gang and Tattered angel.
Gorjuss stamp is coloured with Zig Kuretake clean color brush.
Have a nice day
