Christmas cards for Colourcraft

last time I made for you video tutorial with different backgrounds for your cards. I used many tools, stamps and not all of you do have those at home. So today I will show you how easily you can create original christmas cards just with Colourcraft paints.

For these two cards I used Aztec Eco Mettalic Lustre Paints. They are so awesome for paper. I hand painted different christmas motives on black card stock. Nothing complicated, just easy brush strokes, I am not artist but I love painting with Aztec paints. My tip is to use always some dark background for Metallic paint, it is complicated for photo shooting but it looks so awesome in reality. You can use any of Mettalic paint even red and purple, I mixed more colours on my first card, second one is just gold in different tones. In reality are cards much nicer and interesting.

For second design I took Brushos and I painted background in christmas colours green and red. I used my favourite Leaf green and Scarlet red and Moss green. I just added sticker with czech setntiment Merry christmas and happy new year. And because I am cardmaker and it is boring to make all the time just square or rectangle cards I decided to make shaped card, but this design looks awesome also on square cards so do not hesitate and try it too. It is so relaxing to paint your own cards and believe me that people will be so honoured to get such lovely card from you. Because they can buy everything but not your art, art is something more, something special and not everybody is gifted to do it but everybody can try it and because you are here at Colourcraft blog and you read my article you know how to make your card.

Valentine card for Pink and Main

because it is December and I am allowed to show you sneak peek of upoming release I prepared for you this cute card with amazing hedgehog image. It is not bad to make little break from all those christmas cards.

I made circle shaped (I used Stitched Circle Dies) card one of my favourite. The first layer is patterned paper from Take Flight 2 paper pad. Second layer is cardstock where I stamped tiny hearts and hedgehog from new Hedgehugs stamp set. I coloured images with Faber Castell Polychromos pencil. I added Glossy Accents to heart balloons and with white pencil I just hand painted clouds. Sentiment is also from this stamp set. And because that tiny bow  – Small Bow Dies – is so cute I added it – made with the same paper as background.

I prepared for you gold-white christmas card. There are two layers the first one is dry embossed white card stock with snowflakes. Than I made second layer with white card stock which I cut with Scallop Waves Dies.

Than I stamped different images – Flurries stamp set –  with WOW embossing pad and I  heat embossed it with gold embossing powder – WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Regular WC04R. And than I die cut them with Flurries Dies. And I glued them to my second layer to make background for tiny wooden angel. It was too boring just glue angel so I took my favourite Medium Bow Dies to create gold bow. Final touch is made with gold Nuvo drops. I hope you will like my inspiration and thank you for stopping by.

Winter art journal and christmas cards for ScrapFX

today I have for you two projects – winter black art journal and christmas cards.

Black art journal seems to be very complicated but it is easy, I layered some scrap papers, washi tapes on background, I painted black gesso (Pebeo) all over it. Than I applied black paste over awesome ScrapFX stencil – Camelia stencil. With white Hero arts ink I stamped different motives, than I glued main image photo from Freepik. I made different splatters with white Ecoline ink and Shimmer Silver Brusho acrylic spray. I added some details with Abandoned coral Distress oxide and with silver Nuvo mousse and ExpandIT paste. Sentiment is from Tim Holtz. Behind photo there is black painted chipboard – Beaded strings.

And here are my christmas cards. I played with Polish papers from Galeria papieru, they are lovely, it is small company but with great designer behind it. I sprayed all chipboards with silver Brusho acrylic shimmer spray I used – Decorative antlers and Holly spray.  Scrap FX chipboards are really awesome and you can colour them with almost any kind of mediums. I love sprays because it is so fast. On my cards I built flower bouquet I used die cuts (Sizzix dies). For final touch I made silver splatters and I used Nuvo drops to make some silver drops. And because I love sparkling christmas cards I used also silver glitter glue. So as you can see you can use chipboards for quite easy but still mixed media cards.
