MY TIPS FOR YOU

1. applying colours through stencil – take sponge or Distress ink applicator and any ink and apply it through stencil – I made this way dark green leaves and black leaves and yellow flowers

2. use the technique above but apply it on to paper (you can use patterned paper too) and cut it, and you have your own embellishment

3. when you apply black ink through stencil it will look like stamping – so for my canvas I did not use ANY stamp, just black ink through stencil

canvas_bloghop - 1Story behind canvas

There is old ruin of mill which stands behind village where live my parents-in-law. It used to be amazing place with really awesome stone walls, with wooden machines for everything. But nobody cares about it. So now it is almost whole down. Almost nothing left from old ages. When I asked my father-in-law about it he told me that there are some owners but they do not live close and they do not care. I think now it is impossible to save it and bring to life. This canvas will be one of the latest memory before whole building will be damaged by time.

material:

for background I used Brusho: Leaf green, Dark Brown, Orange, Olive green

Memento Luxe inks: Olive grove, Tuxedo black, Dandelion

Finnabair mediums: Heavy gesso

Stencil girl stencils: S456, M167, L506

papers: 7 dots studio – collection Hazy days

Your canvas is lovely. I really like your soft color choice and then the bolder brown. The texture from the stencils is lovely! Beautiful layout.
